For this role, Kong is pursuing an experienced Director of Product Management to lead our debuggability and observability capabilities to enable our customers to safely operate Kong Gateway at scale and reduce the MTTR of operating their mission-critical applications.

What You'll be Doing:

    • Craft and execute a product roadmap focused on debuggability and observability of Kong Gateway through the lens of Konnect, our SaaS platform.
    • Develop user experiences that provide intuitive access to deep insights and API analytics.
    • Partner closely with customers to understand their operational SRE needs and refine product offerings.
    • Collaborate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to bring new features to market.
    • Establish Kong as a leader in API gateway observability, ensuring our solutions are competitive and innovative.

What you'll bring:

    • 10+ years of software product management experience, preferably with strong background in SaaS and cloud-based products.
    • Proven expertise in the fields of debuggability, observability, or similar areas within software development OpenTelemetry.
    • Familiarity with leading observability tools such as Datadog, Honeycomb, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana.
    • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
    • Adaptability and agility in a fast-paced and evolving technology landscape, with a keen eye for emerging trends and technologies.
