Director of Growth, Konnect
Location: US Remote
Eligible for work authorization sponsorship
We’re looking for a strategic and execution-focused Director of Growth to lead the next chapter of self-serve success for Kong Konnect. You’ll drive activation and conversion improvements across the platform, including owning and scaling our self-serve assist motion to support users through friction points in their journey. This role will report to the VP of Product Growth and will initially lead a team of two, with plans to grow the team as we scale. This position is a key part of our product-led growth (PLG) strategy.
What you’ll own:
- Self-serve assist motion: Own and scale the in-product chat experience that helps users when they get stuck in their self-serve journey. Develop playbooks, and ensure feedback drives product improvements that increase efficiency and conversion.
- Activation and conversion funnel: Improve the user journey from signup to conversion and expansion by partnering closely with Product, Design and Product Analytics to reduce time-to-value.
- Growth experimentation: Lead the roadmap for A/B testing and experiments, including pricing and packaging tests, onboarding improvements, and friction reduction.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with Sales, Support, and Customer Success to ensure a smooth handoff from self-serve to sales-assisted motions.
- Operational rigor: Lead weekly and monthly business reviews to drive accountability and share insights across the organization.
We think you’ll be a great fit if you:
- Have 7+ years in growth or product roles, with at least 3 years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Have owned key stages of the user funnel - especially activation, conversion, or onboarding - and can point to measurable results.
- Are confident in owning metrics, running A/B tests, and working cross-functionally with engineers, designers, analysts and marketers.
- Have enough technical depth to understand developer user journeys, API integration challenges, and can speak credibly about technical product features with engineering teams.
- Thrive in fast-paced, high-autonomy environments.
- Bonus: You have experience with API products, developer tools, or B2B infrastructure.
