What you’ll do

In this role, you will join the Business Development team, responsible for building partnerships to support our products and revenues. Within the market, you will focus on the shipping environment.

Focusing on Europe and based in our London office, your responsibilities will include:

-Developing and maintaining a network of connections within the maritime ecosystem (especially dry bulk & tankers)
-Building partnerships within the industry to help enrich our data
-Centralizing the results of our regional source acquisition, and liaising with internal stakeholders
-Occasional business travels in Europe, to meet prospects and participate in conferences.

This is a hands-on role as the first representative of the Business Development team based in London; and your role might evolve over time to adjust to the requirements of our rapidly growing company.

You will be a fit if...

    •  You have 5 to 7 years of experience in the shipping industry, as a ship broker or agent.
    •  You are a self-starter who can initiate ideas and create your own opportunities.
    •  You enjoy interacting with people and building lasting relationships.
    • You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • You are an analytical person.
    • You have experience working with Excel, VBA, and other types of structured data.
