As a People Partner, you will be the primary contact for our employees and line managers in your jurisdiction, from onboarding to exits.

While enhancing employee experiences during pivotal moments, your mission is also to collaborate seamlessly with various teams in our People department, ensuring a smooth operation.

To excel in this role, you must deeply understand our business, embody our culture, and build strong relationships across the organisation to anticipate needs and proactively address concerns.

The People Partner will be based at or around Houston, Texas, and report to the People Partner Manager.

Responsibilities include

    • Responsible for end-to-end employee lifecycle activities within your area of responsibility working with various stakeholders to ensure a seamless process e.g., onboarding/inductions 
    • Ensure compliance with labour law in your region and reduce legal risks. Partner with external legal parties, if needed
    • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the employment law, benefits, and policies in your region
    • Represent the People team in your region
    • Provide advice to the People Business Partners on complex matters
    • Partner with our Head of Compensation, Benefits & Mobility on our benefits program
    • Be the main point of contact for any local employee queries, providing HR guidance and offering pragmatic solutions quickly
    • Build and maintain relationships with employees, being aware of the mood and morale and either address them or escalate as needed 
    • Support our employees in their personal development and long-term growth during their Kpler journey
    • Manage visa and immigration matters in partnership with our external provider, when needed
    • Seek continuous improvements in our People policies and evaluate current processes for increased efficiencies
    • Ensure the information with respect to your jurisdiction is easily accessible on the Hub (our intranet) and up-to-date
    • Participate in various projects within the broader People Team to improve the People experience at Kpler

You are or have…

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or other relevant fields
    • 3 years of professional experience in a People / Human Resources function
    • Thorough knowledge of benefits and labour and State laws in the US - experience dealing with complex employee matters and scaling a people function is an asset 
    • Proven experience in building and implementing new policies
    • Organised, proactive with attention to detail and a data-driven mindset
    • Strong interpersonal skills  
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Skilled in planning and managing priorities
    • A can-do attitude and results-oriented
    • Willing to invest in a positive and international working environment full of opportunities
    • Working proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese will be considered an advantage
