The opportunity:
- Our Enterprise Advisory management consultants help private businesses and organisations reach their goals. Our clients are leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, and visionaries of subsidiaries of international companies, family-owned New Zealand businesses, for-purpose organisations, and small to medium enterprises, with ambitions to grow and create enduring impact.
- We are a small team of dedicated specialists working with businesses and organisations making their most important decisions. Our services traverse a wide range of business areas from corporate strategy through to operational implementation, all with a focus on lifting commercial performance.
- We are seeking a junior up-and-coming superstar to help deliver business strategy and performance improvement services. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing high performing team that will support private business clients in making their most important strategic decisions and build their capability to deliver shareholder value and enduring impact.
- The primary focus of this role is to support our engagement leads in delivering services that help private business clients solve their complex challenges. To be successful in this role you will be motivated by the opportunity to work across a wide range of commercial issues and industries. You will be an organised go-getter with a high work ethic, a curious mindset, and a hunger to continually grow your knowledge and sharpen your skills. You thrive on learning new things at pace, relish working in dynamic and ambiguous environments. You will be equally comfortable plugging away at technical analysis ‘behind the scenes’, as well as being ‘on the frontline’ engaging with a diverse range of people and personalities.

- This role will involve national travel to meet the needs of engagement delivery and we offer a flexible working policy. However please note that our current focus is on candidates who are willing to be based in Auckland for this role.
Day to day you will:
- Work largely with private business clients in the $5-100million turnover range across a range of sectors;
- Support engagement leads in delivery of engagements with clients, ranging from Board and C-suite through to owner-operators;
- Support design and delivery of workshop with clients;
- Capture and synthesise workshop content (notes, data, workshop outputs) into meaningful insights and reports that support engagement needs;
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to help identify issues and form hypotheses;
- Support preparation of insightful presentations to communicate findings to clients and motivate change;
- Support business development activities
- Provide administrative and project management support for the team.
What you'll bring to our team:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Ideally 1-3 years’ relevant work experience
- A passion for helping private businesses grow and confidence engaging with senior business leaders
- Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and organisational skills.
- Problem solver, strategic and innovative thinker
- Solution-oriented and committed to continuous improvement of self, systems, and processes in pursuit of personal and business outcomes
- A strong achievement drive, with a curious mindset and an ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
- Knowledge of strategic planning and structured thinking conceptual models
- Experience in any of the following will be advantageous: Strategy, Export, Finance, Marketing, Business Process Improvement, Business Transformation, Project Management, Management Consulting, Capability Development/Adult Learning, Business Model Design, Target Operating Model, Change Management, Governance
- Sound verbal communication, presentation, or facilitation skills
- Strong written communication skills, with proposal writing experience being advantageous
- Medium to advanced Excel financial modelling and/or quantitative analysis skills
- Advanced PowerPoint skills
- Appreciation of Te ao Māori or experience working within a Māori context would be advantageous.
