KPMG Cook Islands, based in Rarotonga, is part of the KPMG global network of firms providing quality audit, accounting and tax services to a diverse range of clients.
We have an opportunity for a new graduate to join our Audit team. This is an ideal career start for a Cook Islander recently graduated in Commerce or Finance or someone who is keen to embrace the pace of life in beautiful Rarotonga. Your day-to-day:
- Conduct audit assignments, such as statutory audits, assurance engagements, investigations, and special reports. Our Cook Islands office has a diverse portfolio of clients – Government entities, Hotels, Banks, Insurance, Retail, so you will gain experience in various industries.
- Preparing audit workpapers
- Assisting audit management with planning audits and risk analysis
- Communicating with clients and the wider audit team
- Evaluate the effectiveness of client processes and controls to ensure compliance with relevant requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- The Cook Islands team of 10 has a very friendly work environment and a great team of individuals to work with.
What you’ll bring to our team:
- A recent graduate with Degree majoring in Accounting or Finance, or another major, which meets the pre-requisites for a Chartered Accountancy qualification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organisation skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Positive team player, willing to take instruction
- Absolute ability to maintain confidentiality, honesty and integrity
