To help achieve this we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and talented HR Advisor based in our Wellington office to join our People and Inclusion team on a 0.8 FTE (30 hours per week) basis, starting late November. 

The Opportunity

    • This HR Advisor role will provide best practice human resource advice and expertise to a group of diverse stakeholders across the business.
    • You will work as a trusted advisor across local and national teams, providing support in relation to the interpretation and application of people policies and practice, legislation and advice on a range of employment matters.
    • The pace is fast and workload varied so you must be able to prioritise your time to deliver the best outcomes for yourself and the demands of the business.

Day to day you will:

    • Provide advice, guidance, and practical support for an identified area of the business, working closely with Partners and leaders on people-related matters including employment relations, performance and talent development, and reward and recognition.
    • Participate in People & Inclusion projects/workstreams which elevate the people experience, culture and value proposition for current and future employees.
    • Leverage the collective capability of the People & Inclusion team by working closely with our Talent & Mobility and Learning & Development colleagues.
    • Develop and improve HR policies, procedures and processes.
    • Deliver a world-class people experience.

What you'll bring to our team:

    • A minimum 2 years' generalist HR advisor experience, including involvement in employment relations matters and performance development.
    • A sound knowledge of New Zealand employment law
    • The ability to quickly establish, build and maintain strong working relationships.
    • Effective consultation skills and ability to build trust with leaders.
    • Flexibility and judgement to adapt your approach to suit a wide variety of stakeholders and situations.
    • Advanced skills with Excel with the ability to interpret and manipulate report data
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • A positive, can-do attitude.
    • An inclusive and collaborative manner.
