The opportunity:

    • We have an opportunity in either our DDX team for an Intermediate/Senior Accountant. 
    • Develop your expertise as part of our specialised and growing DDX team!

Day to day you will:

    • Formulate solutions to client problems and issues and contribute to building a high-performance team culture.
    • Oversee and undertake the preparation of a wide range of financial requirements of varying complexity, including preparing annual accounts, tax returns and tax compliance.
    • Assist with data gathering and knowledge transfer.
    • Deliver quality technical compliance work and support the development of others within the team in the delivery of this work.

What you'll bring to our team:

    • 1-2 years’ experience working within a New Zealand Chartered Accounting environment
    • Undergraduate degree or undertaking tertiary qualifications in relevant subjects (e.g. accounting, finance, or qualified by experience).
    • Ideally working towards CAANZ or CPA membership, or membership of a relevant overseas professional body
    • Competent and literate with the following packages:  Microsoft Word, Excel and a computerised accounting system (preferrably Xero, XPA, APS or MYOB)
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Ability to deal with multiple tasks concurrently
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
    • Professional approach to work and strong client focus
    • A team player that values input and support from the team but can also work autonomously.
