The ITS mission statement of “We’re becoming a future-ready digital business, building the technology & A.I. foundation for our multi-disciplinary firm to drive our growth and trust agenda” is central to delivering the technology & A.I. foundation for the Firm’s 5-year strategy. The ITS team is made up of five core pillars: Technology Operations including service desk, Data and Digital including artificial intelligence, Applications, Security and Projects. These pillars are designed and expected to work together to deliver on the ITS mission statement. 

The opportunity:

    • The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of high value projects and initiatives to assist KPMG to become more efficient, cost effective, agile and competitive. This includes identification of appropriate initiatives, developing business cases and managing the delivery of projects and initiatives through project teams resourced via appropriate internal and contracted resources. Strong relationships across the organisation and the ability to ask the right questions are key to identify opportunities and understand requirements.

Day to day you will:

    • Deliver projects, execution to timelines, milestones and budget.
    • Work on etailed project planning, spend, approvals and management of related project documentation.
    • Identify and manage ITS and business resources required to achieve delivery.
    • Be in charge of project reporting and communication with sponsors, owners and ITS leadership (including broader stakeholder management).
    • Manage the operationalisation process post execution of a project (intoservice/application support).
    • Manage/support business owner in the business case development process (Assessment & Discovery as per best practice guidelines)
    • Make contributions to project quality management, governance and development of the project practice (incl. testing in accordance with the Test Management Framework).
    • Tailor project management approach and activities depending on the scale and complexity of the project.
    • Deliver benefit realisation workshops/plans & manage benefits measurement/reporting through the project (set up post project reporting).
    • Manage technically complex projects (including the ability to support design, architectural, testing, tech. requirements delivery).

What you'll bring to the team:

    • Strong technical project management skillset and experience.
    • Professional services experience is highly beneficial, as this role can lead to challenges with a steep learning curve.
    • Project Management Professional in Portfolio Management (PMP) or Prince2.
    • Other certifications as per areas of interest / specialty such as Risk or Agile.
    • Sound capability across all PMBOK knowledge areas, including risk management, communications, project procurement and stakeholder management.
    • Experience and understanding delivering effective change management andorganisational change.
    • Strong leadership and managerial skills, a skilled communicator with excellent financial management.
    • Ability to develop & facilitate innovative business solutions, (negotiation,communication, influencing skills).
    • High integrity and ability to build trust and deliver on priorities.
    • Excellent problem solving and research abilities.
    • Strong relationship management and influencingskills.
    • Active listening, persuading and influencing, informal presentation, conflict resolution,informal group facilitation.
