The opportunity:

    • As part of a cross-functional agile development team, you will be leading a team of developers to design, build and operate technical assets and solutions. As a role model for our ways of working, you will be passionate about mentoring and developing others to be the best version of themselves. This senior full stack role is crucial to the successful delivery of our engagements and digital solutions, and to the development of our team.

Day to day you will:

    • Perform as the senior team member to ensure the development team is supported and set up for success, promote quality coding practices, solid unit/component test coverage, and debugging of code.
    • Work closely with the cross-functional team members and other Digital Lighthouse chapters to ensure the robust management and operation of our software environments.
    • Collaborate with the product owners, delivery leads and business stakeholders to update on development progress and ensure alignment with plans, manage risks, identify problems and opportunities.
    • Conduct code reviews, support root cause analysis to manage incidents and resolve defects, support with the technical design of new solutions and input into product roadmaps for existing solutions.
    • Write testable, maintainable code for frontend (React/ Typescript), backend (Express.js, Python) tech stack with a focus on reusability, maintainability, accessibility, and modern best practices.

What you'll bring to the team:

    • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
    • Experience developing web and mobile applications
    • Familiarity with common stacks
    • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
    • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
    • Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Great attention to detail
    • Organizational skills
    • An analytical mind
