Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a brilliant Senior Client Delivery Lead with experience in data and a track record of supporting their own or others’ data teams - ideally in the energy sector. You’ll help clients transition to using Kraken data, transform their internal data capabilities in service of larger business transformation, and shape our data product roadmap based on real-world needs.
The role
You’ll work directly with the client, and across Kraken teams, to enable the client to build impactful reporting, answer data questions, and advise on building transformative data capabilities. This is a great role for someone who loves data, loves working with clients, and loves collaborating.
We are a flat and agile organisation and plan to remain this way. We are looking for a hands-on Senior Client Delivery Leads that can support both directly and indirectly - sometimes jumping in and writing queries or solving data challenges and other times advising or up-skilling both clients and colleagues.
This person will play a critical role in ensuring the clients’ reporting and analytics transition to Kraken goes smoothly - and ensuring that clients build the transformative data capabilities needed to get full value from Kraken data and power aspirational business goals.
You will be joining the client delivery team with Kraken working to support North American clients through their technology transformation journeys, supporting new and long term migration projects.
The Client Delivery Lead has to really understand how Kraken works, understand problems or requests raised by the client and refine solutions in the best way to leverage existing and new capability. They will bring technology, people and processes together to innovate improvements for our clients. You will also support the client in adapting to ways of working that are aligned to Kraken’s development style. You will work closely with Kraken’s product managers and developers to request development needs and act as a link to the client.
What you'll do:
- Guide clients in transitioning foundational reporting to Kraken, through hands-on support, working sessions, and trainings
- Support clients in developing their internal data capabilities, both directly and in collaboration with Kraken partners
- Identify client data needs and priorities to inform the data product roadmap
- Partner with engineering to deliver new data features and requirements aligned to client use cases
- Train Kraken’s broader client delivery team on the skills to support client data questions and needs in their respective domains
- Ensure we are constantly reviewing and adapting to customer and business needs
- Potential to build a small, regional team to further scale work
This is a hands-on, individual contributor position. The role is North America based and your projects could be run from any state, travel is expected as part of this role.

What you'll need:
- Experience in a regulated utilities environment
- We will be launching a new office and will need you to be onsite 3+ days a week. There will also be travel to client sites across the country at regular intervals.
- Experience working with data and data teams, for example as a data analyst, data scientist, analytics engineer, data consultant or similar
- Strong familiarity with modern data practices and tools
- Strong facility with SQL and modern BI tools
- Strong agile delivery experience skills
- Excellent communications, collaboration and presentation skills
- Strong influencing skills and ability to challenge traditional ways of thinking
- Patience – our clients are undergoing huge transformations that take time and require our understanding
- Experience leading data teams or mentoring others
- Consulting experience a plus
Experience / Qualifications needed:
- Technical mindset, experience in the energy supply sector and with customer journeys
- Degree qualified equivalent, with strong client delivery and/or product ownership experience
- Experience in client facing roles and stakeholder management
- Experience in managing technical product or projects
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Proficient in tools such as miro and office suite

- We hire a wide range of experience levels into our delivery teams. The salary range for this role in NYC ranges on average from $130,000-$200,000 (with some flexibility) depending on relevant experience, role alignment, and technical/client management expertise demonstrated throughout the interview process. While the broad salary range is listed, not all candidates will be placed at the top of the range—this will be determined by the overall fit for the position.
