We’re seeking a hands-on Technical Product Manager to help grow our Migrations product within Kraken, improving on an industry-leading experience for our clients.

You’ll tackle complex challenges and create capabilities which enable our customers to easily import customer data on their instance of Kraken Customer. This is a critical capability where Kraken has a proven track record, which constantly needs to grow with the rest of the business and the rest of the product.

You’ll be contributing to new ways of working for the team, as the team structure is currently evolving to better balance global product work with client-specific support.

There are currently 12 developers in the team, spread across European, American and APAC timezones ; the tech lead is in New Zealand.

What you'll do:

    • Coordinate and prioritise the product roadmap to ensure alignment between Kraken and our clients.
    • Use your deep understanding of our data import products to identify and resolve issues, whilst leveraging existing and new technologies to drive improvement
    • Leverage deep understanding of data structures to extract insights, identify inefficiencies, and improve migration accuracy. Monitor trends, reduce errors, and share regular reporting with stakeholders.
    • Work closely with the software engineering teams, design team, and Client Delivery Leads, to define the product vision and strategy.
    • Gather, consolidate, and break down stakeholder requirements into actionable, incremental tasks.
    • Support the engineering teams to develop product features.
    • Develop relationships with communications product specialists within Kraken Technologies, and some client organisations.
    • Work across timezones to proactively manage dependencies and drive cross team collaboration.
    • Continuously identify ways to improve visibility, remove blockers, and accelerate development.

What you'll have:

    • Proven experience leading large, complex products with multiple stakeholders and diverse user needs
    • To be able to work in an ambiguous, dynamic environment, and be comfortable with uncertainty and constant change. Experience in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up would be a plus.
    • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with global teams.
    • An in-depth technical understanding, allowing you to dive into complex architectures, challenge technical decisions and collaborate deeply with engineers. Experience with programming concepts, data & database structures (e.g., SQL, JSON) is highly valued.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact with people with varying levels of technical knowledge.
    • Experience with agile product development and user-centred design principles
    • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to balance competing demands and influence decision-making at all levels of the organisation

    • We hire a wide range of experience levels into our delivery teams. The salary range for this role in NYC ranges on average from $110,000-$145,000 (with some flexibility) depending on relevant experience, role alignment, and technical/client management expertise demonstrated throughout the interview process. While the broad salary range is listed, not all candidates will be placed at the top of the range—this will be determined by the overall fit for the position.
