Kunai is a fast-growing digital agency of 120+ people specializing in fintech. Our fully remote team is driven by innovation and experimentation. Over the past decade, we've shipped over 150 products for clients that include Visa, the United Nations, Wells Fargo, Ernst & Young, and TOMS Shoes. Our founders built a previous agency (Monsoon) that was acquired by Capital One in 2015.
We're looking for data engineers who can help with a large-scale transition from on-prem to cloud. Kunai's client here is a major bank (the world's largest credit card issuer) and this is a full-time (W-2) position with Kunai.
You will:
- engineer large-scale database and data migrations to the cloud, embedded with our client
- set up NoSQL databases like Mongo & Document DB on cloud (AWS, GCP)
- perform data analytics using tools like Databricks, Big Query, Athena, and Redshift
You have:
- experience in design and building data pipelines
- strong expertise in big data solutions like Spark and Hadoop
- experience with SQL, database design/structures, ETL/ELT design patterns, and DataMart structures (snowflake schemas)
- experience with setting up NoSQL Dbs like Mongo, Document DB on cloud (AWS, GCP)
- experience with GCP cloud services: Data Proc, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Big Query, Cloud SQL, Postgres
Ideally, you also have:
- experience with large scale database and data migrations to the cloud, especially at a very large enterprise with complex regulatory requirements
- experience with AWS cloud services: S3, Data pipeline, Glue/EMR, Lambda, Aurora/Postgres
- AI/ML exposure
Salary information
- $130,000 - $210,000
