The Finance Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Finance team by overseeing various functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. This role holds an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual with strong financial expertise to contribute to our organisation’s success and growth in the Malaysian market.
Responsibilities
- Assist in leading month-end accounting cycle, ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards and Group Policies, resulting in accurate and timely financial statements.
- Assist in managing all statutory financial reporting requirements and external audit processes, support headquarters during quarterly external group audits.
- Leading the team to provide operational supports, including Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables tasks- Assist in ensuring compliance with secretarial, corporate tax, and GST requirements.
- Led the Finance team in developing internal controls, policies, and procedures, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
- Support headquarters' initiatives, including the launch of new products, features, and group processes.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to contribute to the company's success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or related fields.
- A minimum 4 years of experience in finance and auditing roles with a strong foundation in accounting and taxation.
- Familiarity with accounting standards, tax laws, economic regulations, and internal control processes, with a preference for knowledge of IFRS.
- Proficiency in office software and the ability to use financial software proficiently.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Can-do attitude, demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Independent, self-motivated individual who enjoys taking on greater levels of responsibility.
