In pursuit of this mission, we are hiring a Visual Arts Education Teacher for Everett High School. This individual will ensure our 9-12th grade students receive world-class Visual Art instruction and experience throughout their time in the District. Our teachers must also work to build safe, nurturing classrooms where students can be themselves and work collaboratively towards common learning goals. Teachers will work alongside other teachers, parents, and students to ensure they are providing the best education experience to all students.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Visual Art education or related field
- Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate with specialty endorsement - LX/LQ/LZ (will be required to enroll in program if don't currently possess)
- Previous successful Visual Arts/Media teaching experience in urban setting
