Qualifications - Education
- High School Diploma required
- Associate's degree preferred
Qualifications - Experience
- Accounts Payable and Receivable experience preferred

- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as a team member.
- Demonstrated ability to manage department work flow with an emphasis on customer service and timeliness.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Experience and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word
- Strong analytical, research, and mathematical aptitude
- Dependable and able to handle confidential information with discretion
Sample Job Responsibilities
- Provides financial record keeping in accordance with district, state and federal policies and requirements.
- Prepare periodic and annual special financial reports as required.
- Prepare and assist with accounting functions.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant monitoring and general ledger functions.
- Matches and reconciles receiving information and purchase orders to vendor invoices and prepared documents for processing.
- Processes weekly computer-printed accounts payable check runs and distributes payments to vendors.
- Verifies financial information for accuracy.
- Processes and enacts bank transactions.
- Assists in the preparation of audit processes.
- Provide exceptional support to staff and external individuals.
- Prepare journal entries.

- Primarily sedentary work involving extended periods of sitting and computer use.
- Occasional walking or standing within an office or school building to retrieve files, assist visitors, or attend meetings.
- Frequent verbal and written communication using phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Daily use of office technology including computers, printers, and phones.
- May occasionally lift or move materials or packages weighing up to 20 pounds.

$45,612 - $52,680 a year
