The Director of Enrichment and Engagement will develop, direct, coordinate, and expand educational and recreational activities beyond the school day for students throughout the district. This role ensures that enrichment and athletic programs align with the district’s strategic plan and fosters connections between schools and the community. The position reports to the appropriate district leadership.

Qualifications - Education

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Master's degree in Education, Administration, Community Development, or equivalent preferred

Qualifications - Experience

    • Successful leadership experience in public school administration, athletic administration, parks and recreation administration, or community education.
    • Experience developing educational and recreational programs in collaboration with non-profit agencies.

Qualifications - Skills

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong project management and planning skills.

Sample Job Responsibilities

    • Design a cohesive youth development program for K-12 in collaboration with school staff and community resources.
    • Develop and implement planning processes to integrate programs and resources effectively.
    • Communicate and collaborate with school and community leaders to connect schools with community programs and events.
    • Oversee the organization, administration, and management of elementary and middle school enrichment programs.
    • Manage communications with parents/families regarding program options and registration requirements.
    • Provide leadership and supervision to assistant directors and athletic directors.
    • Oversee and manage the budget for athletic and enrichment programs.
    • Foster relationships with local schools, community colleges, businesses, and other youth programs to enhance enrichment initiatives.
    • Ensure continuity between K-12 athletic programs and adherence to relevant policies and laws.
    • Serve as the primary contact for families and community members regarding enrichment and athletic programs.
    • Participate as a member of the District Health & Wellbeing Team and perform other duties as assigned.
$102,750 - $107,887.50 a year
