 Plans, organizes, prioritizes and executes complex administrative and/or research projects, communication, and functions as assigned by the Deputy Superintendent.

Qualifications - Education & certification

    • Associate's degree or higher
    • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite required

Sample Job Responsibilities

    •  Manages and coordinates scheduling for the Deputy Superintendent
    • Coordinates seamlessly with the Superintendent to support all aspects of their daily work routine
    • Plans, organizes, prioritizes and executes complex administrative tasks and functions as assigned by the 
    • Deputy Superintendent
    • Assists in determining priority of matters of attention for the Deputy Superintendent redirect matters to 
    • staff to handle, or handle matters personally, as appropriate
    • Keeps the Deputy Superintendent advised of time-sensitive and priority issues, ensuring appropriate 
    • follow-up
    • Handles printing, faxing, mail/overnight packages, copying, filing, and email messages
    • Sorts and triages mail 
    • Composes and prepares letters relating to routine correspondence for the Deputy Superintendent’s signature
    • Prepares, reconciles, and submits purchase orders and expense reports
    • Maintains filing systems
    • Maintains confidential and sensitive information
    • Answers and responds to phone calls, communicate messages and information to the Deputy 
    • Superintendent and the executive team
    • Prioritizes emails and responds as necessary
    • Maintains various records and documents for the Deputy Superintendent
    • Transcribes source material, prepares documents, reports, tables and charts; distributes as appropriate
    • Supports other departments or executives as needed
    • Drafts, reviews and sends communications on behalf of the Deputy Superintendent
    • Organizes and prepares for meetings, including gathering documents and attending to logistics of meetings
    • Maintains confidential and sensitive information
    • Attends meetings and take notes of discussion; prepare the initial draft of minutes and summaries.

    • Primarily sedentary work involving extended periods of sitting and computer use.
    • Occasional walking or standing within an office or school building to retrieve files, assist visitors, or attend meetings.
    • Frequent verbal and written communication using phone, email, and in-person interactions.
    • Daily use of office technology including computers, printers, and phones.
    • May occasionally lift or move materials or packages weighing up to 20 pounds.
