In pursuit of this mission, we are hiring a Project Manager for the Magnet Grant team. The Magnet Grant Project Manager assists the Magnet Grant Project Director with the programmatic implementation of the Lansing School District’s Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) Grants. This position reports directly to the Magnet Grant Project Director.

Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field 
    • Experience teaching in an urban school setting 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite 
    • Reliable transportation to get to and from meetings at various school sites 
    • Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values

Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's degree in education leadership or related field
    • Experience mentoring new teachers and facilitating professional development
    • Experience in school leadership roles   
    • At least five years of teaching experience with knowledge of curriculum and assessment, data-driven instruction, magnet school programs, and desegregation strategies. 
    • Knowledge of MSAP Grant regulations and school-level policy interpretation. 

Job Responsibilities

    • Support Magnet Grant Project Director in curriculum development, staff training, and community involvement 
    • Collaborate with District and Magnet school staff on project deliverables 
    • Assist in program development and implementation for awarded grants 
    • Coordinate day-to-day project activities District-wide and at each Magnet school 
    • Implement MSAP Grant planning independently or collaboratively 
    • Stay updated on national MSAP initiatives and policy changes 
    • Assist in organizing school Advisory Boards and community outreach activities 
    • Facilitate meetings and coordinate MSAP initiatives with Magnet school staff 
    • Analyze MSAP program outcomes and provide recommendations for improvement 
    • Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from colleagues, managers, and professional development sessions
    • Build relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure a safe, welcoming, and collaborative work environment
    • Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission
$67,523 - $84,410 a year
Per appropriate placement on the Meet & Confer Master Agreement Specialist/Group Leader salary.
