In pursuit of this mission, we are hiring a Project Manager for the Superintendent. This individual will plan, organize, prioritize, and execute complex administrative and/or research projects as assigned by the Superintendent. This individual must be a highly skilled communicator, organizer, and collaborator.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or related field
- Three to five years prior experience supporting a senior executive or team
- Experience working in urban school setting
- Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values
Job Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, prioritizes and executes complex administrative projects, tasks and functions as assigned by the Superintendent
- Serves as a liaison between the Superintendent and stakeholder groups as directed
- Assists the Superintendent in the development of presentations and research-based documents for internal and external audiences
- Assists in determining priority of matters of attention for the Superintendent redirect matters to staff to handle, or handle matters personally, as appropriate
- Keeps the Superintendent advised of time-sensitive and priority issues, ensuring appropriate follow-up
- Transcribes source material, prepares documents, reports, tables and charts; distributes as appropriate
- Completes/Leads a variety of special projects
- Facilitates working sessions and workshops to support the goals of the Superintendent
- Creates PowerPoint presentations, special reports, and agenda material
- Supports other departments or directors as needed
- Drafts, reviews and sends communications on behalf of the Superintendent
- Organizes and prepares for meetings, including gathering documents and attending to logistics of meetings
- Stays current on legislative memos, research and best practices as they relate to the Superintendent
- Maintains confidential and sensitive information
- Attends meetings and take notes of discussion; prepare the initial draft of minutes and summaries.
- Prioritizes emails and responds as necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
$69,163 - $80,151 a year
