Last Energy UK seeks a Marketing & Communications Director to develop, manage and oversee the positioning of Last Energy with key stakeholders in the UK, ensuring alignment between government policy and the business objectives of Last Energy UK.

This role will work with our internal marketing and business development teams to ensure consistent positioning in the market and drive high-value opportunities through our pipeline. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage Last Energy UK's approach to market engagement and stakeholder management, including political influencing, community engagement, and key account marketing  
    • Collaborate with the UK CEO and other senior management to develop and continuously refine value propositions
    • Ensure the Last Energy team is actively engaging with the appropriate decision-makers and stakeholders
    • Develop influencing strategies with clear objectives and personally engage with stakeholders to develop external advocacy for Last Energy UK
    • Engage with regulators and policymakers to shape a regulatory regime and approach to the development and licensing of new nuclear generation in the UK
    • Direct the UK CEO and other senior Last Energy UK stakeholders to assist with public affairs engagements 
    • Establish and manage relationships with key industry associations 
    • Develop and execute the marketing and communications strategy for Last Energy UK, leveraging marketing function from the US team and local agency support
    • Plan and manage strategic marketing activities in the UK, integrating our engagement with politicians, industrial customers, and communities  


    • 10+ years of experience in a public affairs or marketing & communications role
    • 5+ years of leadership experience 
    • Extensive experience aligning local and national political landscapes 
    • Demonstrable track record of creating new marketing and communications strategies from scratch - including segmentation and proposition development  
    • Experience working in a heavily regulated industry
    • Deep understanding of how to work with government agencies 
    • Strong strategic planning and team organization skills
    • Strong leadership and people management skills, with demonstrated experience building teams
    • Compelling and clear communicator 
    • Visionary, with a can-do and growth-oriented attitude 
    • Willing to give and receive challenges
    • Driven and results-focused
