We are seeking an experienced Lead Drupal Developer to lead the development and maintenance of a high-quality web application using Agile and DevOps practices. This role involves collaborating with Scrum teams, establishing coding standards, and guiding the development team to enhance productivity. Strong expertise in Drupal, front-end technologies, and databases, along with experience in federal government standards, is essential. Familiarity with healthcare standards, including AHRQ and Section 508 compliance, is preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Drupal Expertise: 15+ years of extensive experience in designing and developing high-performance Drupal applications.
- Federal Experience: Demonstrated experience with federal Drupal implementations.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), US Web Design Standards (USWDS), Human-Centered Design (HCD), and plain language editing.
- Accessibility Standards: Familiarity with Section 508 compliance standards or willingness to complete necessary training for accessibility best practices.
- Front-End Proficiency: Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder with at least 3 years of recent U.S. residency.
- Database Knowledge: Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL).
- Operating Systems: Experience working within both Windows and Linux environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Drupal Development: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Drupal web applications, utilizing DevOps methodologies.
- Agile Practices: Apply Agile software development methodologies throughout the development lifecycle.
- Requirement Implementation: Ensure accurate implementation and verification of project requirements.
- Software Design and Testing: Design, develop, and rigorously test software solutions, adhering to industry best practices.
- Scrum Collaboration: Collaborate with Scrum team members for project planning, sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and related activities.
- Project Standards: Establish, implement, and monitor project standards and best practices, including coding, design, and code review standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage the development team, promoting maximum productivity and providing technical guidance.
- Effective Communication: Ensure clear communication with team members and supervisors regarding project milestones and challenges.
