Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with hands-on experience working for a mechanical contractor or in the manufacturing or construction industries. This role involves overseeing and managing mechanical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet client specifications and comply with industry standards. Note: This position does not contain design work.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor project progress against these benchmarks.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to determine project requirements and specifications.
- Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, resolving any engineering issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
- Prepare and present project reports, including status updates, risk assessments, and budget tracking.
- Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations.
