Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join a growing aerospace engineering group specializing in legacy avionics systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise, working down to the component level to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of critical systems. This role is fully onsite and highly collaborative, interfacing with engineering, operations, and management to support production and repair testing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed analog and digital circuit troubleshooting down to the component level.
Develop, implement, and maintain test procedures, fixtures, and diagnostic programs for production and repair activities.
Support root cause analysis, test data review, and corrective action implementation for test-related issues.
Author and revise test documentation, specifications, and reports through established change control processes.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop efficient test plans and ensure smooth workflow within test cells.
Assist with transitioning test solutions during product transfers or acquisitions.
Present technical updates, test results, and improvement recommendations to management.
Support ongoing continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (required).
5–10 years of hands-on test engineering experience within aerospace, avionics, or electronics manufacturing environments.
Strong analog and digital troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues at the board and component level.
Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
Familiarity with scripting or diagnostic programming to support testing (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, or C-based tools).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
