We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Production Manager to oversee and lead our CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and Metal Fabrication operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day production activities, ensuring that CNC machining, metal fabrication, and related processes run efficiently and meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. This is a leadership position that requires excellent organizational, technical, and communication skills, along with a strong background in manufacturing processes and team management.

Responsibilities

    • Lead and supervise CNC machining and metal fabrication teams to ensure efficient production workflows and timely completion of orders.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet customer requirements while optimizing manufacturing resources.
    • Ensure that CNC machines, metal fabrication equipment (e.g., welders, press brakes, laser cutters), and tools are properly maintained and calibrated.
    • Address and resolve any operational issues, equipment breakdowns, or delays in production processes.
    • Oversee the implementation of best practices and lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and maintain high product quality.
    • Continuously analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to optimize workflows in CNC machining and metal fabrication.
    • Lead efforts in continuous improvement projects, utilizing tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and root cause analysis to enhance operational performance.
    • Ensure that all products manufactured meet customer specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations.
    • Implement and enforce strict quality control procedures for CNC machining and metal fabrication processes.
    • Work with the Quality Assurance team to resolve quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and internal policies.

Requirements

    • Alternatively, relevant certifications and experience in CNC machining or metal fabrication may be considered.
    • 5+ years of experience in a production management role, specifically in CNC machining and metal fabrication environments.
    • Experience in managing and optimizing manufacturing processes, including CNC machining centers, lathes, mills, laser cutters, welding, and sheet metal fabrication.
    • Proven track record of implementing process improvements, lean manufacturing practices, and achieving production targets.
    • Experience in quality control and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO, ASME, or other relevant certifications.
