Position Overview
The Sensor Resource Management journeyman supports the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple Airborne SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) sensor missions across multiple Core and Distributed Mission Sites (DMS) from a centralized operations center. This position requires hands-on management of airborne and ground-based sensor systems, ensuring mission continuity, system integrity, and effective resource utilization to meet operational requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) operations, ISR network management, and SIGINT systems, along with a working knowledge of DoD cybersecurity and information system security management standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple Airborne SIGINT sensor missions simultaneously for two or more Core and DMS sites from a centralized location.
Operate and interface with multiple aircraft, airborne sensors, networks, systems, and personnel across mission, operations, and maintenance teams.
Provide management and ground support for multiple airborne SIGINT sensors and associated networks, ensuring continuous mission execution and optimal sensor utilization.
Perform comprehensive analysis, diagnostics, and fault isolation for SIGINT systems and networks associated with ground components.
Monitor and maintain system connectivity between airborne and ground systems, identifying and resolving issues in real-time.
Update and refine Sensor Resource Management (SRM) processes, tools, and procedures to improve mission efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with intelligence analysts, mission planners, and network engineers to synchronize ISR collection activities with operational objectives.
Document operational data, sensor performance, and system health in accordance with established policies and reporting requirements.
Support integration, testing, and validation of new sensor capabilities or network enhancements within the DCGS enterprise.
Required Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
Associate’s Degree in a Technical Field or ≥5 years of DCGS experience in lieu of degree.
≥3 years of Information System Security Management experience.
≥2 years of DCGS experience (Air Force, Army, or Joint).
Strong understanding of SIGINT sensor systems, ISR operations, and associated ground network infrastructure.
Proficiency in performing system diagnostics, fault isolation, and technical troubleshooting across mission systems and networks.
Ability to operate and coordinate in fast-paced, mission-critical environments supporting real-time ISR operations.
