Salary: $95,000 - 125,000/year

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Engineer with extensive experience in PLC programming to design, develop, and optimize control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of control systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability of automated systems. The ideal candidate will have strong PLC programming expertise, electrical design knowledge, and experience in industrial automation.

Responsibilities

    • Design, program, and implement PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) control systems for new and existing automated processes, equipment, and machinery.
    • Develop and modify PLC programs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.) to meet system requirements, including control logic, I/O configurations, and communication protocols.
    • Design and integrate control panels, electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and device layouts.
    • Configure and troubleshoot HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for operator interfaces and process visualization.
    • Manage the integration of PLC-based systems with other plant control systems, robotics, and automation equipment.
    • Perform system start-ups, commissioning, and debugging of control systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design specifications.
    • Conduct functional testing, performance evaluations, and adjustments to optimize control system performance.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication between PLCs, sensors, drives, motors, and other automated components.

Requirements

    • Relevant certifications or coursework in PLC programming, Industrial Automation, or Control Systems are a plus.
    • 3+ years of experience in PLC programming and control system design in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
    • Hands-on experience with major PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider Electric).
    • Experience with HMI, SCADA, and other control system interfaces.
    • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, EtherNet/IP, Profibus, and DeviceNet.
