Acoustic engineers apply their knowledge of physics, engineering principles, and mathematics to various government projects.
Duties
- Provide technical expertise and consulting services to architects, construction firms, manufacturers, and other professionals to ensure compliance with noise regulations and optimal acoustic performance.
- Collaborate with product development teams to integrate acoustic considerations into the design and manufacturing processes of products like vehicles, consumer electronics, and industrial equipment.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations to support regulatory submissions and approvals.
- Communicate technical concepts and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- US Citizenship required, to get cleared for a security clearance for government contractor positions.
- 6+ years of job related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Acoustic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Has Navy experience is a must.
- Has experience overseeing a team.
