The Project Controls Engineer will play a critical role in the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project controls, with a focus on data center construction. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

    • Project Planning: Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deliverables.
    • Cost Management: Assist in monitoring project costs, budgets, and forecasts, and support the implementation of cost control measures.
    • Contract Familiarity: Interpret contracts related to planning and scheduling, ensuring all project activities comply with contractual obligations.
    • Construction Drawings: Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to support effective project planning and execution.
    • Metrics Development: Create and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess project performance and progress.
    • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on project status, schedule performance, and potential risks to project management and stakeholders.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and procurement, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues impacting project schedules and costs, and propose mitigation strategies.
    • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of project controls processes and tools, enhancing overall project performance.

Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Controls Engineer, specifically on data center projects.
    • Strong familiarity with contracts as they relate to planning and scheduling.
    • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other project management software.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
    • Experience in developing metrics to support project performance analysis.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
