Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Electrical Engineer with extensive expertise in power systems design, analysis, and implementation to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and managing advanced electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and renewable energy applications. This position requires a deep understanding of power systems, electrical engineering principles, and industry standards, coupled with the ability to lead complex projects from concept to execution. This is a 3 month contract to hire and offers hybrid flexibility, ability to obtain Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities:

    • Power Systems Design and Analysis:
    • Design and develop power distribution systems, high-voltage/low-voltage networks, and electrical schematics.
    • Perform load flow, short-circuit, and reliability studies using simulation tools (e.g., ETAP, PSCAD, or MATLAB).
    • System Integration:
    • Integrate renewable energy sources (solar, wind, etc.) into power grids or microgrids.
    • Collaborate on energy storage and power management solutions.
    • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and scope.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to meet project goals.
    • Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure designs meet relevant codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NFPA).
    • Develop technical documentation, reports, and compliance certifications.
    • Innovation and Research:
    • Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies to improve system performance and efficiency.
    • Participate in research and development activities, including feasibility studies and prototyping.
    • Mentorship and Leadership:
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
    • Conduct technical training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities.
$45 - $60 an hour
