We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Geotechnical Drilling Manager to oversee our drilling operations and manage our team of drilling professionals.

Duties

    • Plan and oversee geotechnical drilling operations, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.
    • Supervise and mentor drilling crews to ensure efficient and safe execution of drilling projects.
    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to determine drilling requirements and project objectives.
    • Conduct site assessments and surveys to evaluate ground conditions and determine optimal drilling locations.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all drilling activities.
    • Manage equipment maintenance and repair schedules to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
    • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of drilling activities, findings, and recommendations.
    • Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship and data accuracy.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in drilling technology, and best practices.

Requirements

    • Has geotechnical drilling experience, not oil or gas, is required.
    • Be willing to travel with their own car (gas reimbursement)
    • Clean driving record is required.
    • Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, techniques, and methodologies relevant to geotechnical investigations.
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
    • Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to drilling operations.
    • Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and make recommendations based on findings.
    • Hold a Florida Well Contractor's license is preferred.
    • Experience in welding is preferred.
