We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Geotechnical Drilling Manager to oversee our drilling operations and manage our team of drilling professionals.
Duties
- Plan and oversee geotechnical drilling operations, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.
- Supervise and mentor drilling crews to ensure efficient and safe execution of drilling projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to determine drilling requirements and project objectives.
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to evaluate ground conditions and determine optimal drilling locations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all drilling activities.
- Manage equipment maintenance and repair schedules to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of drilling activities, findings, and recommendations.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship and data accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in drilling technology, and best practices.
Requirements
- Has geotechnical drilling experience, not oil or gas, is required.
- Be willing to travel with their own car (gas reimbursement)
- Clean driving record is required.
- Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, techniques, and methodologies relevant to geotechnical investigations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to drilling operations.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and make recommendations based on findings.
- Hold a Florida Well Contractor's license is preferred.
- Experience in welding is preferred.
$70,000 - $90,000 a year
