Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Configuration:
Install, mount, and secure audiovisual equipment, including displays, projectors, screens, speakers, amplifiers, and control systems, according to project specifications and industry best practices.
Configure and program AV control systems, such as Crestron and Extron, to meet client requirements and ensure seamless operation.
Test and troubleshoot installed systems to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
Cable Management and Wiring:
Perform cable pulling, routing, termination, and dressing, ensuring that all cables are neatly organized, labeled, and secured to meet safety and aesthetic standards.
Install and terminate various types of AV cables, including HDMI, VGA, audio, and network cables, adhering to wiring diagrams and installation guidelines.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, installation activities, and project documentation, including as-built drawings, wiring diagrams, and test reports.
Provide regular status updates and progress reports to project managers and supervisors, keeping them informed of installation activities and any issues encountered.
Customer Service and Support:
Provide on-site support and assistance to clients during installations, answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction with the AV systems.
Conduct client training sessions on the operation and maintenance of installed AV systems, providing instructions and guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in electronics, AV technology, or related field preferred.
6+ years of experience in audiovisual installation, integration, or related field, with demonstrated proficiency in installing and configuring AV equipment and systems.
Strong knowledge of AV technologies, including displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems, and signal routing.
Familiarity with AV control systems programming languages, such as Crestron SIMPL, Extron Global Scripter, or AMX NetLinx, is a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact professionally with clients.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel to client sites as needed.

$20 - $40 an hour
