Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled IPC Certified Soldering Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for soldering and assembling electronic components to meet IPC standards. This role requires precision, a thorough understanding of soldering techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Soldering: Perform high-quality soldering of electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other assemblies, adhering to IPC standards (such as IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001).
Assembly: Assemble electronic components and systems according to detailed work instructions and engineering drawings.
Inspection: Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of soldered joints and assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and correct any defects or issues.
Rework and Repair: Perform rework and repair of soldered connections and assemblies as required, ensuring all work complies with IPC standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assembly processes, inspections, and repairs. Ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
Tool Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate soldering tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes, improve quality, and increase efficiency.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations. Ensure compliance with IPC standards and company policies.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other assemblers, technicians, and engineers to ensure smooth production flow and resolve any assembly-related issues.
Training: Assist in training new team members on soldering techniques and IPC standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
IPC certification (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001) is required.
Previous experience in soldering and electronic assembly is preferred.
Proficiency in soldering techniques according to IPC standards.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and correct defects.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Basic understanding of testing equipment and tools.
Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
$20 - $24 an hour
