Primary Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain secure, cloud-based applications that prioritize performance, reliability, and compliance with industry security standards.
    • Implement and manage user authentication, authorization, and access controls to support secure operations.
    • Build and maintain APIs, services, and backend integrations that ensure interoperability across systems.
    • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities, ensuring adherence to established security frameworks and organizational policies.
    • Create automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, delivery, and environment configuration.
    • Monitor application and infrastructure performance, proactively addressing issues to minimize downtime and optimize response times.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including systems, security, and database professionals—to align solutions with organizational requirements.
    • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, version control practices, and recovery procedures.
    • Research and evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., serverless, containerization, AI/ML) to recommend improvements that enhance system agility and sustainability.
    • Contribute to Agile team processes, managing tasks, addressing technical debt, and ensuring smooth delivery cycles.
    • Mentor junior team members and provide subject matter expertise to guide long-term modernization and digital transformation efforts.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

    • Expert-level proficiency in modern cloud platforms and services, including application hosting, serverless functions, storage, secrets management, networking, and workflow automation.
    • Advanced experience with identity and access management (IAM), including single sign-on (SSO), authentication/authorization, and secure federation across enterprise environments.
    • Strong programming skills in object-oriented and scripting languages (such as C#, .NET, PowerShell, and JavaScript/TypeScript), with a solid foundation in backend architectures and middleware integrations.
    • Deep knowledge of DevSecOps practices, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), version control, and automated deployment pipelines.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, spanning compute, data, and networking layers.
    • Demonstrated experience applying secure coding standards, addressing vulnerability findings, and operating within compliance-driven environments.
    • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and analytics tools, including relational databases and BI/reporting frameworks.
    • US Citizenship required due to clearance requirements

Education/Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Computer Science, Math, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Six (6) years of directly relevant experience may substitute for three (3) years of formal education.
    • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in one or more of the current RHEL, Windows, VMWare, and SAS.
    • Minimum of six (6) years of performing security remediation to systems with vulnerabilities based on security scans.
    • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in an Agile DevSecOps software development environment and Methodologies.
    • Minimum of six (6) years of experience with Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
    • Minimum of 6 years of mitigating Azure hardware/software issues, performance bottlenecks and overall system health concerns.
    • Demonstrated experience working in support of federal government enterprise applications preferred.
$45 - $49 an hour
