Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Human Resources / Personnel Security Assistant to support our HR and Security departments with administrative, personnel, and compliance-related duties. The ideal candidate will have experience or exposure to both human resources and personnel security processes, with a strong ability to manage sensitive and confidential information efficiently and accurately. This is a 6 month contract to hire, active Secret clearance or higher is required.

Responsibilities:

    • Human Resources Support:
    • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, benefits enrollment, and exit interviews.
    • Maintain and update personnel records in both digital and physical formats.
    • Support recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and preparing offer letters.
    • Help coordinate training sessions, performance reviews, and employee engagement initiatives.
    • Respond to routine HR inquiries from employees regarding policies, benefits, and procedures.
    • Personnel Security Support:
    • Assist in processing and tracking security clearances, background investigations, and suitability determinations in accordance with government regulations (e.g., DoD, NISPOM, FISMA).
    • Maintain personnel security files and ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal policies.
    • Coordinate with government security offices, contractors, and internal stakeholders on clearance status and investigation timelines.
    • Monitor and update clearance databases (e.g., DISS, e-QIP) and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
    • Support the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in audits, inspections, and reporting.
$25 - $32 an hour
