Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician with proven experience providing IT support for a government agency or military. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical assistance, ensuring reliable desktop and peripheral functionality, and complying with security protocols in accordance with federal IT policies. Secret clearance or higher required.

Responsibilities:

    • Provide on-site and remote desktop support to end-users in a federal agency environment.
    • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other hardware.
    • Support Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, VPN connectivity, and common enterprise applications.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
    • Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity and information assurance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
    • Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate inventory and asset management records.
    • Support Active Directory tasks including user account creation, group policies, and permissions.
    • Collaborate with IT teams and third-party vendors for escalated support issues.
    • Adhere to SLAs and performance metrics as required by government contracts.
