We have a client who is currently looking to expand their team and bring on an experience Financial Analyst - preferably with a strong FP&A background.
As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in financial planning and analysis, providing insights and support to drive strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, specifically within the defense contracting sector, and be proficient in Costpoint and Vena.
This Position requires the Ability to obtain a DoD US Govt. High Level Public Trust Security Clearance (Due to the Rules and Regulations and Requirements from the US Govt and our Client – Candidates must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship or US Govt Permanent Resident – If Candidates already have an Active Public Trust or Secret Clearance then great!)
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators and variances.
- Assist in the development of financial models to support business initiatives and strategic planning.
- Utilize Costpoint for data management, reporting, and analysis related to contracts and project finances.
- Leverage Vena for planning, budgeting, and consolidation processes, ensuring seamless integration of financial data.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial performance and present findings to senior management.
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls within the finance function.
- Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as needed.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of financial analysis experience, preferably within the defense contracting industry.
- Strong proficiency in Costpoint
- Profeicent with FP&A Tools Preferably Vena
- Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.
$75,000 - $85,000 a year
