We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to design, develop, and maintain control systems used in automated equipment and machinery. You will be responsible for creating electrical schematics, programming PLCs and HMIs, and supporting the full lifecycle of industrial automation projects—from concept through commissioning and support.

Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and test electrical control systems for new and existing machinery and equipment.
    • Create and review electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools.
    • Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMIs, and motion control systems.
    • Specify and select components such as sensors, VFDs, relays, and safety devices.
    • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and technicians to ensure system integration.
    • Lead troubleshooting and debugging efforts during build, testing, and commissioning phases.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, UL, NFPA 70E).
    • Support maintenance and operations teams with documentation, training, and technical guidance.
$90,000 - $120,000 a year
