Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with strong experience in power distribution systems and proficiency in Revit to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, modeling, and analyzing low and medium voltage power distribution systems for commercial, institutional, and/or industrial facilities. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver high-quality electrical designs that meet client specifications and code requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical power distribution systems, including panel boards, transformers, switchgear, and circuiting for lighting, receptacles, and equipment.
- Create and maintain detailed electrical models and construction documents using Revit MEP.
- Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and coordination studies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other project stakeholders during the design process.
- Review and mark up drawings, submittals, and shop drawings to ensure design intent and code compliance.
- Conduct field investigations and site surveys to assess existing electrical infrastructure.
- Support construction administration efforts, including responding to RFIs and reviewing contractor submittals.
- Assist in developing specifications and electrical construction documents.
- Participate in project meetings and coordinate with clients and consultants as needed.
$90,000 - $110,000 a year
