Staff Accountant
Location: Broomall, PA Onsite (full-time)
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership, including the Controller and CFO, on a variety of accounting and financial functions. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance, and ensuring the overall integrity of the organization’s financial data.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Apply GAAP principles to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage adjusting entries, depreciation, and amortization schedules.
- General Ledger Management
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Reconciliations

- Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Compliance & Controls

- Manage state permits and sales tax registrations.
- Assist with filing monthly sales tax returns.
- Stay current on changes in accounting and tax laws.

Additional Responsibilities

- Prepare commission schedules for the sales team.
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed.
- Assist with periodic physical inventory checks and adjustments.
- Generate ad-hoc reports and provide financial analysis as requested.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of job costing concepts (preferred).
- Understanding of relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion.
