Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AV Installation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual (AV) systems in various commercial and residential environments. You will work with a range of equipment, including projectors, displays, speakers, control systems, and cabling to ensure seamless integration of AV systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in AV installation, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of AV technologies. 75% national travel and 25% off work (Travel is typically Sunday-Thursday/Friday and includes per diem plus travel expenses paid for). Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities:

    • Install, configure, and troubleshoot AV systems, including projectors, flat panel displays, speakers, video walls, microphones, and control systems.
    • Read and interpret AV system designs, wiring schematics, and blueprints.
    • Perform cable pulls and terminations for AV systems, including Cat5e/6, HDMI, audio, and other relevant cabling.
    • Mount and install AV equipment such as screens, projectors, and speakers securely and according to design specifications.
    • Program and configure AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron).
    • Conduct site surveys and work with project managers to assess AV needs and ensure installation plans align with client expectations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site, providing maintenance and repair as needed.
    • Ensure all installations meet industry standards and project deadlines.
    • Provide training and support to clients on the proper use of installed AV systems.
    • Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory related to AV installations.
    • Collaborate with the AV team, project managers, and other trades (e.g., electricians) to complete projects efficiently.
