We are seeking a skilled and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team, focusing on battery production. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing engineering with a strong understanding of battery technologies and production processes. This role involves optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring quality control, and driving continuous improvement in the production of batteries.

Responsibilities

    • Process Optimization: Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for battery production. Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Production Support: Provide technical support for production operations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing processes. Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical challenges.
    • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that batteries meet or exceed industry standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and tests to monitor product quality.
    • Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment. Ensure that all machinery and tools are functioning properly and safely.
    • Project Management: Lead and manage projects related to process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and timelines.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and modifications. Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Safety: Implement and enforce safety protocols and practices in the manufacturing environment. Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines.
    • Cost Management: Analyze production costs and develop strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining product quality. Evaluate and recommend cost-effective materials and technologies.
    • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce defects.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to support product development and ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on battery production or similar technologies. Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is a plus.
    • Skills: Strong knowledge of battery technologies, manufacturing processes, and quality control methods. Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools (e.g., CAD, ERP systems).
    • Knowledge: Understanding of industry standards and regulations related to battery manufacturing. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex manufacturing issues and develop effective solutions.
    • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in process design and quality assurance.
