Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Debt Resolution Manager to lead our debt resolution team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services and collections, with proven experience in negotiating debt settlements, managing collections strategies, and driving results. As a Debt Resolution Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the resolution of delinquent accounts, developing processes to improve recovery rates, and managing a team of debt resolution specialists. You will play a key role in helping our clients manage and resolve their debts in a professional and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of debt resolution specialists, providing coaching, support, and guidance to ensure high performance and goal achievement.
Debt Settlement: Oversee the negotiation of debt settlements with clients and creditors, ensuring resolutions are in line with company policies and compliance regulations.
Collections Strategy: Develop, implement, and refine strategies for effective debt recovery, including monitoring industry trends and adjusting tactics as necessary.
Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, offering them financial advice and guidance on debt resolution options.
Compliance: Ensure that all debt resolution activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, including FDCPA, TCPA, and other industry standards.
Reporting & Analysis: Track performance metrics, prepare regular reports on collections and settlements, and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve debt resolution processes and workflows to increase efficiency and maximize recovery rates.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as legal and compliance, to ensure smooth handling of complex cases.
Training & Development: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for new hires and existing team members to improve their skills and knowledge of debt resolution best practices.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in debt resolution, collections, or financial services, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of debt settlement processes and relevant regulations.
Ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve performance goals.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
Proficiency in using collections management software and other financial tools.
Certifications: Debt resolution certifications are a plus but not required.
