Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Coordinator to join our team. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, maintaining payroll records, and supporting compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role will work closely with HR and Finance to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all payroll functions. This is a 6 month contract to hire, benefits eligible after 90 days.

Responsibilities:

    • Process bi-weekly/weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
    • Review and verify timekeeping records, deductions, and adjustments.
    • Maintain accurate payroll records, including new hires, terminations, wage changes, and benefits.
    • Prepare and distribute pay statements, tax forms (e.g., W-2s), and payroll reports as required.
    • Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, as well as company policies.
    • Collaborate with HR to update employee records in payroll and HRIS systems.
    • Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries in coordination with Finance.
    • Support year-end payroll processes and audits.
    • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
$27 - $33 an hour
Conversion salary 60k-75k.
