Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in estimating, with a preference for experience in the construction industry. This role is critical in developing accurate and competitive project cost estimates to support our bidding process and ensure project profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary data for estimating.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors.
- Develop project budgets and proposals based on estimates.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project handovers.
- Maintain historical cost data and support continuous improvement in estimating processes.
- Assist in scheduling and phasing of projects based on estimated timelines and resources.
