We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Drafter to join our engineering team supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This role involves preparing detailed technical drawings and documentation used for the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and components in accordance with military specifications and standards.
This role is fully onsite in Baltimore MD
Salary: $65,000-80,000/yr
Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo).
- Create and update assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and other engineering documentation.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet functional requirements and compliance standards.
- Incorporate design changes and engineering revisions promptly while maintaining configuration control.
- Conduct drawing checks to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to drafting standards.
$65,000 - $80,000 a year
