Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Network Engineer with experience in LAN/WAN networking to design, implement, and maintain our data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and high-availability architectures. This role requires expertise in configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network performance in a data center environment. This position requires an active Secret clearance or higher.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and manage data center network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network hardware such as routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and redundancy.
- Implement network security measures, including access controls, intrusion prevention, and threat mitigation.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network solutions with servers, storage, and cloud environments.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and maintenance activities.
- Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and best practices.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Work with vendors and service providers to optimize network services.
