Direct Consultant: Manheim Worship Leader  
Hours Commitment: Full-time (40-45 hours per week) with regular weekend responsibilities. 

Objective:  Serve the greater vision of LCBC Church to introduce people to Jesus and together fully follow him by recruiting, building, and pastoring Student Ministry band and production volunteers to execute excellent environments of worship. 

Primary Responsibilities

    • Recruit, train, and pastor a community of student musicians and production; who are gifted, prepared, connected, healthy and growing. 
    • Create, support, and resource the worship gatherings and tech for Collide (5-8th grade) and High School Ministry (HSM, 9-12th grade) environments at LCBC Manheim. 
    • Schedule band volunteers for Collide and HSM environments at LCBC Manheim. 
    • Identify and develop student worship leaders to co-lead and/or lead Student Ministry environments on a regular basis. 
    • Choose songs that best support Student Ministry Programming for weekly gatherings and special events at the Manheim Campus. 
    • Provide oversight for all needed support for songs and creative elements (charts, loops, Ableton, etc.) 
    • Provide oversight to the Manheim Student Ministry Part-Time Production Tech and help schedule and lead production volunteers for Collide and HSM environments. 
    • Provide oversight and care for HSM/Collide (stage set, patching, tech booth, lighting) 
    • Weekly connect with Collide and HSM directors to keep lines of communication clear for programming 

Secondary Opportunities

    • Help the Worship and Arts Department in cultivating a worship culture that is God-honoring, engaging and accessible to those who are far from God, as well as challenging and encouraging to those who are Christ-followers. 
    • Attend and contribute to Worship and Arts Department meetings, projects and special events. 
    • Attend Centrally provided training resources and workshops.

Education, Skills, and Experience

    • Leading teams (1-2+ years) 
    • Leading worship (1-2+ years) 
    • Demonstrates vocal excellence 
    • Demonstrates instrumental excellence (guitar and/or keys) 
    • Demonstrates an understanding of the primary band instrumentation (drums, bass, keys,guitar and vocals) in order to efficiently direct a band 
    • Demonstrates the values of being expressive and engaging 
    • Experience using programs such as Planning Center, Ableton, Finale and Logic are a plus, but not required.

Evaluation: 
The Student Ministry Worship Leader will meet regularly with the Student Ministry Director for planning, goal-setting, progress updates, and general coaching. A formal Action and Development Plan will be completed and reviewed three times throughout the year.
