Reports to: Manheim Guest Experience Director
Hours Commitment: Part-time weekend focus (Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning) alternated with the other part-time Cafe Manager (20 hours per month).

The Guest Experience team exists to create a culture where a world-class Guest Experience is priority through leading and developing teams to increase effectiveness in order to introduce more and more people to Jesus and help them fully follow him.
 
The Manheim Cafe Manager collaborates with all campus teams (kidMinistry, Student Ministry, Next Steps, Worship & Arts, etc.) to set the pace for a world-class level of hospitality and customer service locally. The right candidate will have an eye for the details; be able to recruit, train, and build a volunteer Cafe team; and create excellent, warm and inviting environments where life change can happen.

You'll Contribute to Life Change By:

    • Co-manage the Cafe operations and recruit, train, and build relationships with volunteers who serve our guests with a world-class experience.
    • Prep, serve and clean up the Cafe and event areas.
    • Stock, place orders for necessary supplies for events and regular weekend operations in the Cafe.
    • Recruit, train, equip and lead a volunteer Cafe team.

Skills Needed to Succeed:

    • Must love and enjoy connecting with new people.
    • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs frequently and lift overhead to store equipment, supplies, etc.
    • Must be able to walk long distances frequently and push a service cart to the elevator that services 3 floors inside the building.
    • Must be able to set-up and take down food/equipment, etc. for large events.
    • Must be able to climb ladders to reach high shelves with equipment or supplies.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of personalities, as well as conflict resolution skills.
    • High level of professional approach to administrative details with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong computer skills and Windows-based software skills (including but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel and Goole Sheets) and willing to grow in this area.
    • Ability to learn new things quickly and willingness to take initiative and assume responsibility for projects and assigned duties.
    • Eager to vision cast the purpose of LCBC and Connections Cafe.
    • Demonstrated experience in retail or food service operation.
    • Event management/catering experience preferred.
    • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in handling office and volunteer matters of a sensitive nature.
