Reports to: Director of Team Resourcing
Hours: Full-time, 40-45 hours per week with minimal weekend and evening responsibilities.
Objective: The Benefits & HRIS Specialist will leverage support and resources to maximize our team’s effectiveness in accomplishing the mission to introduce people to Jesus and together fully follow Him. This position will primarily focus on implementing and executing a world class employee benefits program, compensation planning, HRIS administration, and employee training and coaching.
Primary Responsibilities
- In conjunction with Director of Team Resourcing, develop, implement, and manage compensation and benefits programs that align with organizational goals.
- Administer employee benefit plans, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and wellness programs.
- Utilizing market data, assist in the development of salary structures to ensure competitive compensation packages.
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the HRIS platform.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for benefits inquiries and issues, providing guidance and support to employees.
- Educate employees on available benefits options, support the enrollment processes, and conduct benefits orientations and training sessions for new hires and current employees.
- Support wellness initiatives and employee engagement activities related to benefits.
- Support the communication and promotion to employees regarding benefits and wellness programs, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate with insurance providers and HRIS vendors to resolve issues and improve services.
- Stay informed of industry trends, legislation, and best practices in compensation and benefits and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing compensation and benefits policies using data, analytics, and market research.
- Manage leave administration, including short-term and long-term disability, FMLA, and Workers’ Compensation – processing and supporting benefits claims in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with payroll team to ensure benefits are accurately reflected in payroll and personnel records.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and update employee information in HRIS systems.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of employee compensation and benefits information and handle confidential employee information with discretion.
- Ensure accurate entry, updating, and integrity of employee data within the HRIS.
- Generate reports to support HR and organizational decision-making, including compliance and audit reports.
- Provide technical support and training to supervisors and employees on HRIS systems

- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, database management, internet search, and HRIS and ATS software (strongly prefer experience with Paycom and Lever)

Evaluation
The Benefits & HRIS Specialist will meet regularly with the Director of Team Resourcing for planning, goal-setting, progress updates, and general coaching. A formal Action and Development Plan will be completed and reviewed three times throughout the year.
